Our Statement of Faith
- We believe in the one living and eternal God, a spiritual being, as the creator of all things.
- We believe in Jesus as the only begotten true son of God, who was sent to redeem us from our sins.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit as sent from God to indwell every believer and give direction in our life here on earth.
- We believe in the Holy Trinity consisting of God the father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit as one eternal being.
- We believe in the birth of Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy spirit in the virgin Mary.
- We believe that God has a visible church here on earth consisting of the body of believers in Christ Jesus.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus has ordered and set teachers and leaders to govern the church.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus instituted baptism with water upon repentance from sin and confession of faith in Jesus Christ.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus has instituted communion for all baptized, faithful followers as a remembrance of His suffering and death on the cross.
- We believe that believers in Christ need to serve one another with humility and love as was demonstrated by Jesus himself when He washed the feet of his disciples.
- We believe that God instituted marriage as a union of one man and one woman for as long as they both shall live.
- We believe that the church has the obligation to keep pure the Body of Christ by disciplining those who have chosen to live in deliberate sin.
- We believe that the governments are ordained of God and as such need to be respected and obeyed except where they contradict the word of God.
- We believe that a Christian shall speak the truth at all times and therefore shall not swear by oath, but rather affirm.
- We believe that as Christians we shall not take revenge against our enemy or take up arms in defense of our country.
- We believe that God has given man the freedom to choose between good and evil, and between everlasting life in Heaven or eternal punishment in hell.
- We believe that everyone will be resurrected from the dead on the day of judgment.
- We believe that on the final day of judgment, those that have chosen to accept and follow Christ will be received up into Heaven and those that have not received Christ as their Savior will be banished into everlasting punishment in hell.
